Owen and William are turning into regular little chatterboxes. Their vocabulary and pronunciation of words seems to get better on a daily basis and they take great pride in saying new words or sentences. I'm a little saddened that some of the cute little sayings the boys have are becoming extinct, but I'm also excited and amused to have even more insight into their worlds.
A few examples of all this would be that neither William nor Owen say "hah-gah" anymore. Now its just "airplane". But they do say that airplanes "sit down", rather than land.
I've also noticed that in his excitement to convey a message, Owen often grinds himself to a complete halt, not being able to get the words out fast enough. Or he gets things backwards, like the other day when I accidently knocked him towards the bookshelf and he said the following sentence with great long pauses, just like William Shatner:
"I....bump.....head....shelf.....book."
Tonight in the tub, both boys exclaimed that daddy's "pamshoo" was missing. Mummy has put it away for safe keeping.
They're also getting to grips with commands and rules. Yesterday at breakfast, as we all drank our morning smoothie, Owie said very sternly, "No blow bubbles smoothie, mummy. I take way." Lucky for me I was able to resist the urge to blow bubbles in my smoothie to see if he would indeed take my drink away.
And best of all, both Will and Owen now say "yuv you mummy, yuv you daddy" when we put them to bed. Goodnight sweet boys. Mummy yuvs you too.
