Night Number Two In Big Beds

Not bad, not bad...first night was a success! Will woke up twice in the night - once because of a lost soother and once because he wanted his duvet pulled back up. Once it was back on he proclaimed it to be "cozy" and went straight back to sleep. Owen didn't wake up at all, although he was clearly dreaming ab0ut his favorite new word at one point in the evening when he suddenly started shouting "No! No! Nnnnnnnno!" in his sleep.

We had another interesting day today on the William Health Front. He had woken up on Saturday with a mild rash on his torso, which we put down to either sensitive skin (he sometimes reacts that way when we accidently put a fabric softner sheet in with his laundry) or a reaction to the antibiotics he's been taking for the ear infection. When he woke up this morning, the rash was much redder, a bit raised and ALL over his body. Okay then. Off to Emerg we go! After waiting an hour, we got seen by a (very nice and handsome - think Dr Ross on ER) pediatrician at St Joseph's who said it was indeed an allergic reaction to the amoycillin and that it was in no way harmful to him. Will has started complaining that its itchy, so we've been giving him some kids benedryl and that seems to help.

The upside of the trip to the ER was that he was pretty tired, as was Owen who'd had total one-on-one time with his Daddy and had played his heart out. So naptime was a big success, with both boys falling asleep in their own beds after only 15-20 mins of horseplay. They slept for nearly three and a half hours too, which was lovely because that meant that I could have a nap as well.

And it seems that the boys are quite happy in the beds as they've gone straight to sleep again tonight with no fuss. Fingers crossed this continues tomorrow, and more importantly on Tuesday after my mum has gone home! Susan, when are you coming to visit again?!
