Gillian also arranged for my lovely academic mum Helen to come over with her daughter Amelia. So cute! It was great to see two of my oldest friends from uni in their role as mothers, but also to see that really, we haven't changed that much despite the years. Helen has always been a calming influence on me, always saying just what I need to hear and it was so lovely to see her again. Amelia was, as I said, very cute, but I especially loved the way she kept saying "ehm..." just like her mummy and her nearly imperceptible nods or shakes of the head.
Finlay and I bonding over a book. I tell you, he was pretty darn cute and when he giggles, it's too funny! I hope we can bring the boys to Scotland soon so that they can meet, or at least have some guests over here (hint, hint!). I would love to see them all playing together. Do you think they'd notice each other's accents?
