If you know me, you know that I'm not really in to politics. I get quite frustrated with the spin doctors, with the childishness in the house of commons and with what seems to be the utter lack of progress. Despite my general dislike of politicians, I do always make sure to vote though, and take great pride in being able to do so. Many many people fought long and hard for me to be able to vote and I wouldn't want to waste something as powerful as my vote. But I usually feel a sense of disappointment and distaste around election time. Its never what you hope it will be.
But I have to say, I'm quite excited for Americans who have gone out to vote today. It's exciting to see all those people making the effort to vote, making a decision for themselves, taking action. I really hope Obama manages to live up to all this hype and that he can actually make some positive decisions for the US and for the rest of the world.
We live in interesting times...

I totally agree!! And I voted! First time I have voted in a US election but I felt it was an important one. We certainly do live in exciting times. xx
I thought you were British, Ellie? Are you a secret American? BTW, congrats on the impending nuptials! I'm so very excited for you!
That is SO great Elle! Really neat that you can exercise your vote. Well done you!
(she has dual citizenship, cause her mum is American)
Thanks Amber! We are excited too. We won't keep Pasc for too long. And yes, I am half Brit, half Yank...xx
