I just wanted to share a little thing that happened yesterday, but which to me is actually a big thing.
William and Owen both wanted to sit in my lap so they could watch the Olympics - okay, okay, so I could read them a story whilst I watched the Olympics. I can't help myself! On a side note, could someone explain to me how you become a race walker?! How did that become a sport? Wouldn't it just be easier to run? And how crazy-fit are you if you're a marathon swimmer, swimming for two hours? Insanity. And if you had to choose an Olympic body as your physique, which body would it be? I would want to have a beach volleyball body.
Let me start again without all the side comments. William and Owen both wanted to sit in my lap so I could read them a story. As I lifted Will into my lap, I said "onnnnne", you know, drawing out the number as I counted. And then Owen's little voice said "twwwwwwwwo". I nearly dropped them both! He won't say one or three, but he really likes two. He said it everytime I said one. So cute. Sigh. They're going to be debating the merits of time outs with me before I know it.
That was all, just wanted to share. :)
PS - Nearly forgot - if you haven't looked already, Amber has cute pictures of the boys tormenting Abigail. Its okay though, she's going to be bigger than them in about three weeks, so she can just sit on them when they bug her. Or drool on them. Either way, my money's on Abby.
PPS - Okay, ten minutes after writing this post I went to get the boys up for the morning and I said "One" and WILL said 'Twwwwwo, THREE!" and then laughed like mad.

I hear ya about the speed walking. It is quite fun to watch and my hips always ache a bit watching all that swaying:)
I too would love a beach volleyball body. I think this may be why hubby loves to watch the sport as well:) I must say I HIGHLY support men's diving when it comes to my favourite sport to watch ( wink. wink. nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more...)
So cute about the counting! I swear once they hit 18 months their little brains are going a million miles minute and the changes are incredible.
I was thinking the same thing - about people's bodies - but what got me were the pole vaulters. Mid way between athlete and gymnast bodies without any of the ripple muscle effect, just all toned. That gets my vote!
For men I would take the rowers they are lush. For women....maybe the heptathalon atheletes. The British heptathalon hopeful had a really nice figure. Not too skinny.
