Big Boy Haircuts

I've butchered William and Owen's hair a couple of times at home, trying to get it out of their eyes or off the backs of their necks, but honestly it usually looks like I hacked at it with a fish knife. I just cut their hair at the cottage, but Will's been scratching the back of his head a lot lately, so Mark and I thought maybe he just needed a proper haircut. So today we went to Melonheads with Aiden and Andrew to get poper big boy haircuts.

Melonheads is a salon just for kids, with seats that are airplanes, horses, trains or boats. I think William was quite pleased with his spiderman boat, since he was as good as gold in there and didn't mind the haircut at all. Owen on the other hand, started crying as soon as our hairdresser spritzed his head with water. I had to go into full on distraction mode with him to keep him sitting down. Thankfully there were lots of toys as well as interesting brushes to keep him happy.

I'm not sure if the photos do their new dos justice, but they look so so SO cute with their big boy haircuts!

Here's William with his hair all spritzed up, waiting for the fun to start

BIG thanks to Anindita and Christopher who kept an eye on William whilst I entertained Owen and then took Owen out to the car whilst I paid, and even folded my stroller up and put it in the trunk for me - all the while dealing with twins of their own! Thank you thank you thank you! I would have been a mess without your help!
