Thank Goodness For Playdates

There are some mornings when I wake up and immediately think, "Oh my goodness, what on earth am I going to do with the boys all day?!" Sometimes these days end up being very long and uneventful, with me desperately trying to fill the hours between nap time and bedtime. Sometimes these days end up being a fun adventure, like today, when I called my friend and former running buddy Anu to see if she and her daughters wanted to go to High Park with us and go tot he small zoo.

Here are Will and Owen playing in Kieran and Emily's playroom, filled with sunshine and lots of never-before-seen toys. Will was in that car two miliseonds after we walked in the door.

Here we are looking at the baby llama! So cool. "Llook out Llarry, its the Llandllord." I llove Gary Llarson.

When Kieran, who is a very talkative 3 year old girl, got into the wagon with William, he didn't know what to do. He's never had anyone other than Owen in the wagon with him! He was so surprised and then delighted to have a little feminine company on the walk home, that he chatted away to her and played peekaboo. Very sweet.

Meanwhile, Owen was chilling out with 5 month old Emily and Malu, their nanny in the stroller. He was quite happy to just sit back and relax whilst Malu did all the hard work of pushing him uphill. It was a great morning, so much better than if we had gone with my first thought of being mall rats for a few hours! Thanks Anu!
