We've been getting stopped a lot more than usual on our outings lately. I'm not sure if its just because the boys seem more alert or they're just getting cuter or what, but people seem to stop us more and more to "see" the twins. I usually don't mind stopping, I quite like showing off my cuties. Mark however, does not stop. He'll nod in acknowledgment if someone says "Oh! Twins!" as we walk by, but other than that little, almost imperceptible nod, he just keeps on truckin'.
But I've started to behave a little more like my dear husband and whiz past people with a smile. Yes, they're twins, yes they're cute, but we have a busy schedule and I can't stop to answer your fifty million questions! I think I stop a little less frequently now too because we've had a few weirdos who've actually reached into the stroller and touched the boys which I really don't like. And when I say weirdos, I just mean little old ladies, but I just don't understand why they think its okay to touch the boys! One lady was particularly aggressive - taking out their soothers, telling them she hoped their mommy wouldn't let them have their soothers once they were one as "there's nothing worse than seeing a little toddler running around with a soother in their mouth!" Excuse me?! Do I know you? First of all, do not touch my babies. Second of all, do NOT tell me how to raise them. Crazy old broad. Sorry. I guess I'm still a little annoyed by it. I mean, actually taking their soothers out? Let's move on shall we, before I get even more worked up about it.
The thing I've noticed most when we get stopped is that more and more people are saying "They're identical, aren't they" as a statement and not a question. It seems that Owen and William and looking more and more alike these days, and I would have to agree. I've actually had to do a few double takes this week to see who's who.
Who do you think this is in the photo (do you love the fauxhawk?)

Its William, but even though I took the picture, when I put it onto my computer, I could have sworn it was Owen for a second. Their eyes and their smiles are starting to really look alike. Definitely twins, these two!
And here are some pictures that made me laugh this morning - I was lying on the floor taking pictures, but it looks like the boys got a hold of the camera and took some accidental shots, doesn't it?
