I'm not sure how keen Jack is on the new members of our family, even though they absolutely adore him. Their little faces light up and when he walks near them, they reach their arms out to him and often giggle when they look in his direction. But Jack is one cool customer. Sure, he'll sniff them when we come home from an outing and has even gone so far as to lick Will's sweet potato-covered bib, but he just isn't enamoured. Yet. I think he's starting to warm up to them a little, but I really hope that once they're crawling he suddenly realised that they're more than just lumps that cling to me, that they're in fact family and, even better, playmates. I see all these cute pictures of babies asleep with their doggies, all snuggled up together and I hope I'll be able to post those photos in a few months too.
But for the moment, he seems quite content to ignore them and even escape to the backyard when he can. I guess sometimes a doggy just needs a little peace and quiet. Some alone time, if you will.
