Bumpidy-bump-bump

Bob's little heart is beating like mad, which apparently is a good thing.

Trip to the OB was very uneventful, I didn't even have to lose any dignity by trying to figure out which was those papery gowns go on. It was just a quick meet and greet, filling in about 50 sets of paperwork, blood pressure check and then a quick listen on the ol' fetal heart rate monitor before I was out and on my way to work.

I feel better today, less grumpy, and it could be because Bob sounded so upbeat, if you'll pardon the pun. And the little fatso is so big now the doctor didn't even have to chase him/her around my tummy for 15 minutes to get a signal, like the last time. The blob that is my tummy is also my baby so I guess Bob was easier to find.

I'm supposed to start feeling the first few kicks soon, or the "Quickening" as its called. Sounds kind of creepy, witchy, almost. Would be a good scary movie title 'The Quickening starring Bob "The Blob" Johnson.' Anyway, I have felt a few twinges here and there over the past week by that could just be gas and not the joyous occaision. Apparently its pretty hard to tell at this stage. As soon as I'm certain, I'll describe the feeling in detail.
