I went to get some groceries on Sunday from No Frills. As I was leaving the parking lot, I felt a funny little tickle in my stomach and said out loud "are you moving, Bob?" I was finding it hard to focus on the traffic AND this new sensation, so I asked Bob not to stop, hoping I could concentrate on the feeling properly once I got home, but of course, s/he did.
But today! Boy oh boy! Its the cha cha going on in there all day! Bob is definitely moving around in there - ever since I ate a banana this morning, there has been some serious activity. Amber called it the Banana Dance, and I think she's right. Bob is shaking some serious baby booty in there! I just ate some guacamole now and once again there's all these funny little exploding bubbles in my tummy. And no, its not gas! This feels different. I can only describe it as microscopic bubbles bursting on the inner suface of my stomach. Its quite ticklish actually, and I can't help but smile when I feel them. I'm picturing little fingers and toes brushing against me - probably trying to shove some belly out of the way to make more room!
I'm so obviously pregnant now, there's no hiding it. I actually feel like I could park in the 'Expectant Mothers" spots at the grocery store now without needing a letter from my doctor - but I haven't yet. I figure someone needs those spots more than me. I can still walk without a waddle. Maybe next week...I'm also getting funny looks from people. Its very funny to see people look at me and then watch their eyes dart straight to my belly. Yes, I am with child and not just pot-bellied. No, you can't pat it, no matter how tempting. Why do people want to do that? I don't mind if friends touch my belly, but strangers? Thats just weird. Even Mark doesn't touch my baby bump that much. I think he's afraid I'll suddenly recreate that scene from Alien(s?).
I went and bought some more maternity clothes, this time from H&M. I had no idea they had maternity stuff, but I walked in looking for "normal" clothes that might have the right cut for my shape and saw the sign for H&M Mama. So cool! Their stuff fits really well, so I'm pretty please right now. Still need more tops, but that can wait a couple more weeks.
Okay, its quitting time, so the little dancer and I are off to find Jack-Jack. I'll try to post some new photos soon, but we've still got some computer problems at home, so I'm having trouble uploading stuff. And to be perfectly honest, I'm not so photogenic right now. I just look huge from every angle! We're going to need a wider lens soon.
A plus tard les petits!
