At least I'm a human female. It could be a whole heck of a lot worse:
* Blue Whales' gestation lasts around a year
* Elephants have a gestation period of 22 months
* Spiny Dog Fish are pregnant for 24 months
* The Alpine Salamander give birth to live young after a 3 year pregnancy
* Frilled Shark have been recorded to have gestation periods up to 3 1/2 years.

Hahaha! Way to be a "glass half full" kind of girl, Pascale! Everything's relative. (But those of us who have been there still have loads of empathy.)
Great thinking Pasc. The same thing happened to me yesterday: I was so worried because C. was diagnosed with bronchitis and a nebuliser. After five hours of waiting/treatment in the ER, I was so relieved that she ONLY had bronchitis and ONLY needed a nebuliser.
Well, if she's born on march 1st, she'll have the same bday as me... and I'm sure she'll be a fantastic girl ;-)
