Beep Beep!

There is another set of twins who have a cottage in the same bay as the Johnsons and they've very kindly given us a few things as their twins have outgrown them, including these cute car floaties. The steering wheel turned and the horn could go beep beep! Needless to say, these boys loved them. Loved them right up until we put them in the cold water that is, and then they weren't as keen. But the more they tried them out, the more they liked them, especially when the weather was nice.

Unfortunately, for the three weeks we were there, we only had two sunny days! TWO! Out of three weeks! Shocking. So although we played in the water a lot, it was mostly overcast and a little chilly. And the damp, still weather was perfect for the mosquitos. Poor William was a movable feast for the mozzies - one day I took a little too long to put his swimsuit on at the water's edge and he got NINE bites on his poor little bum. It was so sad! He scratched his backside with both hands for three days! Okay, so it was kind of funny too, but I hate mosquito bites myself, so I mostly felt badly for him.

Anyway, we still had lots of fun, despite the clouds and here are some photos to prove it.

A sunny moment for Owen

Will playing by the shoreline. He wasn't too keen on getting wet, but he liked to dig in the sand and throw rocks in the water and look for fish.
