Busy, But Happy

Its been another crazy-busy week in the lives of Owen and William, and I'm grateful to say they are back to their old selves. Well, back to being happy little bunnies, but not exactly their old selves, since they seem to be doing and saying new things every day. I've started a list of all the words they can say and I'm surprised at how long it is! I won't bore you with the entire list, but here are some of my favorites:

Will says:
- "Wassat?" as he points at something with a little finger
- honey (we have honey and toast in the mornings)
- Owie
- Andrew (of Aiden and Andrew Plock fame)
- slide
- ant (we're having some insect issues in the kitchen - bleurgh - and Will is always very helpful in pointing out any ants that might be marching on by)

Owen says:
- water
- William
- backhoe (loves construction sites with a passion equaled only by his brother and the aforementioned Aiden and Andrew)
- cheese
- no (I know I shouldn't like it when he says this word, but his mouth is just a perfect little shape when he says it and he's so definite in his "no" that it makes me laugh every time)

There are many other words, but again, the list would be quite a long one and I know you really only want to see the photos I'm going to post , so why don't I just get on with that, eh?

We went to the zoo last week when my mum was here, which was lots of fun, if a little tiring for all of us. Mark took the day off to come with us, which was extra special.

Here's Will and me looking at the elephants - very big, very impressive

Love this shot- thanks mum for the great photos! Next time, let's get some with YOU in them!

It was really great having my mum here. The boys are happiest with family around, I find. Mark and I also took full advantage of the free babysitting and went out not only for our fourth wedding anniversary (love you Sparky!), but also for a dinner party celebrating Amber's 30th birthday (love you Bamber!). Amber and Jon hosted a fantastic dinner on Saturday, and since it was a 1978 theme, so we all got dressed up. I, of course, left my camera at home, but Amber took lots of photos and posted them on her blog, so you can check them out there. It was a great night - I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. And 3 month old Abigail was an absolute dream despite all the raucous laughter coming from the crazy adults.

Okay, its late and my guys seem to be waking up earlier and earlier these days, so I'm going to hit the sack and dream of our holidays, which are coming up soon. Sleep tight!
