Gran Johnson is here for a few days to keep us all company and help us figure out what the heck to buy everyone for Christmas. Yesterday the two of us had a lovely day at the One Of A Kind Show - a craft, arts, clothes and gourmet goodies show where you wander for hours staring at all the various booths, alternately thinking 'I can't go another day without THAT piece of pottery" and "Who the heck would pay money for THAT?! (am I right, Amber? Am I right? Maybe you'd like to tell everyone what you saw at the show?).
We wandered from 10am to 3pm, stopping for quiche and salad and a naughty glass of wine for lunch, and bought lots of stuff...for William and Owen. I tell you, that place was full of adorable kids clothes. I think we might have bought a few things for other people, but it was definitely a lot of presents for two spoiled little boys. The hardest thing was not buying gorgeous little dresses and booties and blankets for Amber's little baby-to-be, but I don't want to buy girlie things just in case she has a boy. I mean, I know we're all pretty sure its a girl, but still...
Susan and I went to a mall this morning to do some more grocery shopping and it wasn't too busy, but we once again got sidetracked by our boys. We were on the hunt for more sweater vests, but couldn't find any! So we bought cords and t-shirts instead. Like I said, spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! Then this afternoon I went to the dentist for the first time in (I'm so ashamed) 3 years. Sigh. Okay, nearly 4. But the hygenist said my teeth and gums weren't too bad considering the lack of regular visits. However, I do have to go back on Wednesday for two fillings which may or may not turn into a root canal. But apart from that they look good. Sigh. I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon. I booked every conceivable appointment for this week since I don't know when I'll get the chance to go again. So I get to be poked and prodded all week, but at least I'll get it all out of the way for now.
Huh. Poked and prodded. Am I talking about my medical appointments, or trying to make my way around the malls at Christmas time?

Owen feeling very sleepy before naptime, staring up at my Gwamma Beanz on video on my laptop. Doesn't he look sweet?
Helping Gran sort out her purse before we go shopping. "Chuck it, keep it, keep it, chuck it...Ooh, you might want to hold onto that, though, Gran."

I love the picture of Owen, he just looks all grown up and sophisticated. Congrats to him on making his first steps. What a big boy! I love the video and how William had to crawl up and jump in your lap as his brother was getting some serious attention without him. They continue to just get cuter!
Thanks also for your encouraging words... we have recovered well.
