Since my mum got here, the boys and I have been doing a lot of out and abouting, which has inevitably lead to some "firsts" for the boys. Thankfully, modern technology has given us the camera phone, so we were able to capture some of these new adventures...
Going grocery shopping is not a first, but sitting in the cart is! These guys were SO cute, but mum and I quickly learned that you need to push the cart down the centre of the aisles or else Owen and Will can grab everything off the shelves!

We went to Vaughn Mills, an outlet mall just north of the city, and spent most of the day there. We brought bottles of formula for the boys but nothing else, so at lunchtime we just went to the food court, plopped them in the plastic highchairs they have there and bought things for them to eat from various places - grilled chicken from Cultures, steamed rice from Edo, feta cheese and pita bread from Jimmy The Greek, fruit & yoghurt from Starbucks. They had a blast! The best thing about it all was that we'd just bought long sleeved bibs from Babies R Us so although mum and I were covered in rice and yoghurt, the boys were spic'n'span.
Here's Owen sitting near the Starbucks saying "Where's my coffee?"
"Its right THERE!"
The other first that we're dealing with right now is a cold & fever. Poor WillieBear suddenly developed a runny nose and horrible cough last night, which stopped him from sleeping. By 12am he had a fever (he's never had one before - neither of them have) so it was a loooong night for Mark and I. The only way to get the poor little guy to sleep was to have him propped up on my chest, which meant that I hardly slept at all. I also had to get up to get him Tempra to kill his fever a couple of times. The funny thing was that he was still trying to be a smiley guy about the whole thing, despite feeling terrible. He kept waking up in the night and talking, giggling, making Mark and I laugh. And then he'd start sobbing, remembering that actually, he wasn't feeling well. He seemed up and down all day today, but still trying to smile, and he went to sleep right away tonight. Fingers crossed he'll be okay tonight. Of course, Owen is bound to get it soon, since they share everything, so we're bracing ourselves for that. But he's been a very supportive brother, making Will smile when he can. All I can say is thank god for family - my mum kept Owen busy all day so that I could concentrate on William. Thanks ma!
