Broccoli Spittle

Sigh. Its come to this. William has become a complete and utter cheeky monkey. Not only is he torturing his rather hypersensitive-these-days brother by rugby tackling him and yanking toys, sippy cups and snacks from his grasp throughout the day, but he's also decided that diaper changes are a contact sport, dogs are pokeable and purees are not for ingesting, they're for spraying.

That's right. The little devil has learnt that he can cover me in a fine mist of vegetable or fruit by clenching his lips just so and breathing hard through his mouth. I think the first time he did it this afternoon it was an accident, and I tried very, very hard not to react since I knew that would just make it more fun. But its difficult not to react when suddenly covered in broccoli spittle. Anyway, the lack of reaction from me was clearly no deterrent as he continued to clamp, breathe and spray throughout lunch. Deeeeeep breaths, Pascale, deeeeeep breaths.

He was only saved from a throttleing by being incredibly cute despite it all and by the memory that he fell asleep in my arms this morning from sheer played-outness. Tomorrow I wear full body armour. So does Owen.

LOLOLOL. Omg. "This too shall pass..." This is what I continue to say as Andrew now has a new WWF name which is "The Slapper". It does seem that Aiden has retired his name "The Biter" however I am not naive enough to think that he won't come back out of retirement:) But you know our boys are WAAYY ahead of the game right? Yep. They are learning all those important social skills at a very early age.

Advanced I say. Sheer geniuses:)

I can always count on you, Dita, to help me stay sane, refocus and realise that, goshdarnit, we have TWINS!

Pasc...

I just love how you write, you paint such a clear picture of a day in the life of a busy mom. I love the humour you use and the attitude to which you grace being spit on. I too have been there, but mine was spaghetti with red sauce.

I also love the video, the silly faces and the good bye waves from Owen. They are so fun to watch.

Are they really almost 11 months old?!
