Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummys out there! Our little family and my lovely Granny went to Queen's Quay for dim sum. For those of you not from Toronto or from Toronto but seriously lacking in knowledge about your own city, QQ is right downtown on Lake Ontario. There's a restaurant there called The Pearl which does fairly good food, but man is it busy!

Our reservation was for 11am, so we went a little early and sat in the food court to feed the boys so they wouldn't freak out in the restaurant. I love Owen's little eyes and button nose, looking up at Daddy. I might have been a bit grumpy with Mark this morning (insert hangdog face here) due to the lack of a mother's day card (insert Mark's hangdog face here). I did get a neat present though, more on that later. But what does a card matter when you have such a lovely family?

Here is Granny in mid face stuff - I think she loves food just about as much as I do, so whenever we're together all we do is talk about food. The food we're eating, the food we're going to eat, the food we wish we could eat, the food, food food! (we're having an asparagus and goat's cheese fritatta with salad tonight, followed by frozen yoghurt that pretends to be healthy but is actually butterscotch pecan or something like that!)

It looks like I have picked up Will's toys with my chopstick, but sadly I am not that funny. I love his chubby little fingers gripping on the table. Owen was fast asleep during the meal, I think.

Granny and I taking our "traditional" kiss-me-quick photo, although I look more like I'm trying to imitate a duck.

Mark would like me to add that I forgot our second wedding anniversary so he doesn't feel so bad. In my defence, I was SEVEN months pregnant with TWINS at the time. I couldn't remember my own name half most days, let alone my wedding anniversary.

Mark, that was the one and only time you are allowed to use your get out of jail free card. Did you use it wisely?
