Happy 6 months to you, happy 6 months to you, Happy 6 months, happy 6 months, happy 6 months tooooooooo yoooooooooouuuuuuuuu!
(mummy is dancing and singing like a silly billy for you, I know you're smiling!)
I can't believe it, we've made it to 6 months! Wowee! We went for their checkup and shots yesterday and the doctor was quite happy with their progress. Owen is weighing in at 15lbs 4oz and Will is at 14lbs 5oz. I think they're in the 10th percentile. Not chubby babies, but happy, healthy babies and thats what makes me happy.
Will's flat head is still, well, flat, and the doctor has said that she can write a referral for a molding helmet if we want. If you're not familiar with these, its basically a little helmet that kids wear from about 6 months to reshape their heads to be rounder. Its purely cosmetic - its not as though its affecting his brain or anything like that. But the helmet has to be worn 23 out of 24 hours everyday for about 6 months, depending on how quickly or slowly the head reshapes itself.
I have to say, I can't seem to come to a decision about this. Do we do it or not? I've posted a question on a couple of todaysparent.ca discussion forums and if you want to see the responses I've had, click here and look for my thread called 'helmet for a flat head' (my online name is waitingforbob) - I think you have to scroll down quite far, there are lots of posts since yesterday

Anyway, Mark and I are going to talk about it a little more and then make a decision. We might just end up going for a consult and seeing what they think. We'd have to get a quote for our insurance anyway, so it might be a good idea to go.
But other than that, and the fact that my little guys have got stuffy/runny noses today, its another grey day outside and I haven't had a shower yet, we're doing okay. I tell you, I cannot wait for the warmer weather. Bring on the sunshine! We all need it.
Before I sign off so I can wipe noses and cuddle little bodies, I'd like to send a little "Holla" out to Nathan, Jenna and Sam - its Nathan's first birthday today and I know his mummy and daddy are probably showering their little cutie-patootie with lots of love and cuddles too.
And another shout out to Gillian and Jonathan...they're on babywatch waiting for their little Denovan to come out. Gillian's due date is tomorrow and I just can't wait to see if their little bean is coming out on time or is going to try to stay toasty warm inside for a little longer! I'm thinking of you, Gillibean! Don't forget to nap!

Such cute photos - happy half birthdays to both Will and Owen!! Can't believe 6 months have gone by already?? Thanks for your good wishes - still no sign of baby Denovan. I don't think this baby is in any rush!! Gillian xx
Hey Pasc... thanks for the shout out to Nathan... we did have a great day with him on his first birthday. We took him in to get his first here photos and gave him little treats here and there. He was smiley and happy and not aware that he was now one.(: I'm sorry I haven't emailed you back. I plan too, it's just been a crazy couple of days... and too being gushy... here here.(:
Take care and have a great weekend,
Jenna
