What a nice weekend we've had, if a little antsy. Saturday, Mark and I puttered (well, mostly Mark really - I just continued my task of not popping out babies before Mum gets here) around the house and then it was finally time to pick up the Beanzster, aka my mum. She arrived quite late on Saturday night and we stayed up until after midnight chatting and feeling babies move. The only problem with having mum here is that we now realise this is it. Its actually really going to happen now. And we're both a little freaked out. Well, I am. Mark says he's not, but at midnight we caught him rereading the prenatal handbook from our classes and practising my breathing for me - "Hee. Hee. Hee. Hoo. Hee. Hee. Hee. Hoo."
Today Spark had to go into work for a few hours to do some tidying up of his business affairs so he can dedicate the next couple of weeks to his boys (Jack Jack included) and mum and I continued our chatting at Chapters, Starbucks, Home Outfitters (she bought us a slow cooker) and Best Buy as we did a few errands. Well, I went into the first two places but waited in the car at the other two since I feel funny standing for too long these days...the pressure from two babies and the extra 60lbs I'm carrying around with me. Plus I'm paranoid that my waters will break in some dramatic fashion at an inopportune time and embarrass me no end. As I've said before and for the benefit of you non-baby people out there, your waters don't usually break in the same way you always see on tv and in the movies. Apparently, amniotic tsunamis aren't really all that common. But I'm not sure I'm willing to really be the one to bust that myth. It would just be too mortifying to have to hear some teenage voice saying "Clean up in aisle seven, clean up" at No Frills because I'd just flooded the condiments section.
But thankfully there were no issues and we returned home without incident (well, not including the scratch I put on our new minivan, aka The Bobmobile, which we only just purchased 10 days ago, as I pulled into our driveway and did some clever contact parking with the garage door...sigh). The rest of the day was a sunny blur of napping and eating and seeing my lovely Dee, who stopped by to see the babies' room and to wish me luck.
Now I'm just left wondering what the heck we're going to do until 7:30pm tomorrow. Breathing exercises anyone? Repeat after me: "Hee. Hee. Hee. Hoo. Hee. Hee. Hee. Hoo...."

Almost there! I hope the induction goes well today. I didn't read past the warning in the previous post so I am working under the assumption that it consists of a pep talk and perhaps a lollypop for the ride home :)
It's great that your mom is there. Give here a big hug from me.
Hee Hee Hee Hoo,
D.
Good luck for the big Day, Pascale!
I'll be rooting for you!
Take care
Shirley
Well, I've had a text message from The Bean to say, affirmative, YOU ARE IN LABOUR!!! THIS IS IT!!!!! WOOHOOOOO!! (Apparently you're asleep at the moment as you've been given a spot of pain relief). That's all I know at the moment but Mo and I are eagerly awaiting more news (along with all the people who love you all over the globe). Hugs and kisses to you and the likely very nervous daddy Spark! Jojo
